Sarah exemplifies excellence in nursing every shift she works. She is an inspiration to her coworkers and patients. Patients and staff members are excited to share their day with her; her positive aura is contagious. Sarah helps in all areas of the Outpatient Infusion clinic including telephone triage.

A patient that had never been to the unit or received the medication prescribed to her called and was very nervous and had many questions as she had multiple diagnoses, allergies and disabilities. Sarah spent as much time as needed to answer all the patient's questions regarding the medication and what to expect while she was in our clinic. The patient felt comfortable with her knowledge and demeanor and called back several times asking for Sarah to answer her questions. The education provided enabled her to feel less anxious about her first experience at the clinic. When she arrived Sarah took care of her which made the visit that much more successful. She continued to teach and calm the patient throughout her infusion so much that the patient was not afraid to return. The patient has been friendly and at ease with subsequent visits because of Sarah's compassion and dedication to her patients.
