I have been in and out of the hospital fighting Stage IV cancer for the past two years. At times it can feel like I live there! But for the first time this past week, I was able to have my chemotherapy treatment at home because of the home infusion service. In terms of comfort, there has been a night and day difference between undergoing treatment at home vs the hospital. My nurse, Shannon, came every day and made time for any questions I had and was extremely efficient at the same time. She was so easy to have in our house and showed interest in my family and even my sister’s dogs. Shannon wanted to make everything as easy as possible for me and tried to disturb my life the least. I think it takes a lot of practice to get to this point. For any problems that arose Shannon had a solution for me to try. She definitely knew what would work. I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse
