Shelby was my dad's nurse for several days. She was always available and courteous. When my dad needed anything Shelby was available. She always made my dad feel at ease with her kind words and sweet personality. One day, she had a couple of nurses in training with her as she worked with my dad. She was a great role model for her two tag-alongs. She showed, by example, what it is to be a great nurse. Shelby is a great asset for this hospital. She should be cloned! Not only is she a great nurse, but she is also an excellent role model for future nurses. Shelby, you are a blessing to our family. Thank you for taking care of my dad.

Let Shelby know that she is, by far, the best nursing role model anyone could know or learn from. Her skills and bedside manner with patients under her care are the pinnacle of nursing and LRMC is blessed to have such an asset. Shelby is a very caring person who loves her job and nursing comes naturally. She not only performs her role as a nurse for her patients she is their advocate as well. She doesn't hesitate to jump in and give someone a bath or walk them in the hall. Shelby is a team player as well as a mentor for new employees and/or nursing students. She loves to teach and is also an instructor for LeTourneau College and is currently enrolled in Nurse Practitioner program extending her education to care for others. She has received many compliments and thanks from patients and families for the care she has provided. I was approached by a former patient who said, "Shelby saved my life! She is an angel". Shelby isn't one to put herself on a pedestal for the great job she does daily. She deserves recognition for being a great person as well as a great nurse!

Shelby works on HVU where I am a housekeeper. Shelby is a spectacular and very nice woman who takes what Florence Nightingale left her. She is very compassionate with her patients. She gives the best to her patients.
