My son was admitted for 35 days and spent 99% of his time in the PICU. All of the nurses we had were wonderful but we wanted to recognize Shelley. Shelley exhibited extraordinary care each and every day. We missed her on her days off. Shelley took the time to explain everything that was being done and why, and took the time to make sure we understood. She offered to come in on her days off, brought in a swaddle blanket from home which we loved, and took care of us during the "down times". Words can't explain everything she did for us but we do know our experience wouldn't have been as positive without Shelley. She went above and beyond every day!
