As a charge nurse, she is always ensuring the patients and nurses are informed and supported, sometimes skipping lunch to make sure this happens.
Sophie is a sweet, caring nurse whose compassion and empathy shine to our patients. She is so caring and considerate of the staff. When she is a charge nurse, I notice how much she cares that her nurses are supported in their daily work. She has an incredible sense of humor and joy to be around. She is so deserving of this award. She is a strong lead and puts patients first throughout her day.
Sophie is a nurse that works both as a nurse on our unit and as a charge nurse. Sophie's #1 priority is always the care of the patient and ensuring they have the best possible experience prior to surgery as well as in recovery. Her presence makes patients feel that they can express their concerns without judgment. She thoroughly explains procedures and expected outcomes. As a charge nurse, she is always ensuring the patients and nurses are informed and supported, sometimes skipping lunch to make sure this happens. Return patients always love to see and be cared for by Sophie. When she is working we always know it will be a good day.
Sophie is a nurse in our unit who has a clear role as a staff nurse and charge nurse. She is very aware at all times of the needs of our unit and will make herself available. Sophie has a very patient and pleasant way she cares for our patients. They often remember her name and comment on her helpfulness. I always know she is available to me and is a great support. She has been open to floating during this crazy covid time as well.
Sophie always has a positive attitude, she finds the good in every situation. she is a strong charge nurse and a strong advocate for her patients. I have worked side by side with Sophie for several years and she has always been fun and kind to all that have the pleasure of meeting her. It is obvious how much Sophie loves her job. She is always willing to help her co-workers and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone on the unit has been to lunch before she will take one. Sophie has stepped up on many occasions especially during covid. She has made herself available for additional shifts, stayed way past her regular shift hours, and has gone to other units. Sophie makes a difference every day she comes to work.
