I was admitted to the hospital for 3 weeks when my water unexpectedly broke 8 weeks early with my 2nd child. It was the longest I had ever been away from my almost 3 year old, and because of COVID I couldn’t see her and visitors were very restricted. Suzanne made me feel like my best friend/family member was with me all day every shift she worked. From moving me to a bigger room when one became available because she knew I would be there for a while, to finding me any little thing around the unit to make my stay more comfortable, Suzanne went above and beyond in every way. What at first was a daunting and terrifying ordeal that I would have to suffer through quickly became a relaxing experience of rest and relaxation awaiting the arrival of my 2nd baby. Suzanne even took gorgeous photos of my husband and me in the flower-filled median outside of the hospital when she learned that I would be missing my maternity photo shoot because of my admission. Suzanne made me feel like I was the only patient on the floor (and I’m sure she made all of the other patients she was caring for at the same time feel exactly the same!) All soon-to-be mothers should have a Suzanne! Thank you could never begin to cover the immense gratitude I feel for Suzanne.
