My mother was brought to UW Hospital and when our family arrived we were met by Taylor Stamm. She was very calm and explained the tests that were going to be done. She also outlined it on my mother's dry erase board in her room every day so my mother knew what to expect. One of the tests revealed that my mother had the worst form of lung cancer and it had spread to her brain. Our family and our mom were all devastated!
Taylor was mom's RN for the next several days until she was transferred. Taylor was outstanding and showed such extraordinary compassion, empathy and was very attentive. When my mom called for anything Taylor was there within minutes. She took the time to explain all to my mother and she made sure a family member was included anytime a doctor came to talk to our mom. My mom would comment every day that she knew she was in good hands because Taylor was her nurse. Taylor's smile would brighten up my mom's room and make her smile even though she was faced with such poor prognosis.
Taylor is the best of the best and provided remarkable care to our mom. Thank you Taylor! We will never forget the kindness you showed our mom.
