Last night we had Temitope as our nurse and they were amazing. This nurse was the first nurse my child really connected with. Temitope had my child laughing and giggling the whole time. But the real reason I feel Temitope deserves the DAISY Award is because of an incident that happened overnight.

My child had a bad dream and woke up inconsolable. My child was crying and screaming trying to get out of the room. I called the nurses for help because I couldn't calm my child down. Two other nurses came at first and we tried everything we could, even moving the bed to show there was no monster but that still wasn't easing the anxiety. At that point Temitope came in, my child felt a little calmer just seeing this nurse, but they took a different approach. Temitope climbed under the bed, scared it out of the room. This method worked! She was able to get back in bed and go back to sleep.

I really believe Temitope has found their calling as a pediatric nurse. Absolutely amazing with children, makes an immediate connection, personalizes, and eases all their fears. Please let this nurse know how much my family appreciates all they did for us and how much they helped the experience here for my child. We will always be eternally grateful to have met such an exceptionally compassionate nurse.
