A DAISY Nurse Leader must display one of the network values of courage, unity or excellence – Tiffany regularly displays all three of these values on a steady basis through her work at Fox Hospital. Excellence – as key quality metrics play an important role in safety and patient care. Tiffany displayed an act of excellence when one key metric slipped at Fox – there was a blip in CAUTIs and Tiffany utilized her nursing expertise and critical thinking skills to develop a tool to assist staff in tracking and monitoring CAUTIs.  The tool that Tiffany created for Fox, “HOUND” that CAUTI was quickly picked up at the network level and distributed throughout all of BHN facilities.

Courage – Tiffany consistently displays courage throughout her work by advocating for her staff.  She maintains a clear big-picture view of what is needed by staff and the needs of the inpatient floor and prioritizes the needs.  Tiffany works with leadership to ensure that all the needs that are identified are met. Tiffany maintains regular meetings with not only the CNO for Fox, but also the hospital president, to advocate for the nursing needs of the facility.

Unity – perhaps Tiffany strongest asset that she provides to Fox Hospital – Tiffany consistently works under “tremendous pressure” due to the national healthcare staffing shortage.  Tiffany is at the hospital at all hours, making sure that staffing is covered – often filling in herself in supervisor or staff roles.  Tiffany's die-hard dedication helps to provide a safe-haven for both staff and patients alike.  Tiffany works hard to make sure that everyone feels appreciated for their work.

Tiffany is an absolute asset to Fox Hospital and the Bassett Healthcare Network.  Fox is extremely grateful to have her as a key member of the Fox Family.  Her regularly proven dedication makes her a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
