Tim is the rock of dayshift. If anything is going bad - ED flow, patient care, belligerent patient - Tim very quickly and competently takes control. The whole department looks up to him. Tim is kind to his patients and is one of the best ED nurses I know. More than all of that, Tim is a team player. He will not leave any shift hanging. He is the last person that I call when I need someone to cover a night shift because I know that he will always say yes.
There was a call in when the weather was very bad. I called him, and his response was, "I know other people will have a hard time getting there, so I will come in." Just this last week he was called on Friday by his manager to see if he could work and he did. Not knowing that he had worked extra on Friday, I called him on Saturday to work a night shift and he said yes because he knew that he was my last hope.
Tim is the epitome of a professional and kind Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital Nurse. What an asset to this Emergency Department and the whole Saint Luke's Health System.
