Words cannot express how wonderful our nurse, Tracy, was. In addition to being extremely attentive and knowledgeable, this nurse was a true lighthouse in our darkest hours. What sets this nurse apart from any other is her sincerest concern for the overall wellbeing of the patients. This nurse never ignored a request for assistance. No job was too overwhelming or too task intensive. This nurse gave selflessly and from the heart. It is absolutely obvious that this nurse loves the patients and the nursing profession.
My father was blessed to have this nurse. This nurse showed empathy and not pity, always exemplified "can do", not "can't do". My father is a cardiac patient who fractured his hip while we were on vacation. Dad was a risky candidate for anesthesia and hip surgery. Needless to say, we had very high anxiety. In this situation, this nurse was our brightest star. Assuring us that Henderson was a great hospital with a wonderful and caring staff. As well as assured us that it would all be okay. In addition, what means the most to us as Christians were the wonderful words "Don't worry, Jesus got this". Please strongly consider this extraordinary nurse for the DAISY Award; she is truly outstanding!
