I would like to express my great appreciation for the personal care that Valerie provided for my mother during her stay in Rehab. We were fortunate to have Valerie as our day nurse for 5 of our 11 days in Rehab. She gave my mom her full attention for what she required in a timely fashion, and responded professionally and kindly with each concern we had. Valerie went above and beyond her duties to make me feel that my input was not only important, but valuable in the care of my mother. Valerie's positive personality and sincere kindness got us through many rough times as my mother was struggling to get well. I felt relief every morning that I came in and saw Valerie's name on the board. I do hope that she is recognized for her excellent work and care. My mother and I will remember Valerie and all she did for us.
Valerie's application objective in her resume stated, "I hope to be able to serve the community through excellent patient care, focusing not just on physical healing, but also spiritual and mental healing. I believe that customer service is paramount to increasing the positive experience of a patient's hospital stay, and I hope to be able to demonstrate that within your hospital." Valerie demonstrates this. Hence the beautiful letter from a patient's daughter.
Valerie is a very caring and compassionate nurse. She takes the time to speak with patients and families about issues and concerns. She makes herself available to assist coworkers. Patient safety fall prevention is high on her radar. She tends immediately to any bed or wheelchair alarms.
