Vanessa received a call from the house supervisor asking for her help in assisting a patient in the burn unit who needed Buck's traction. Vanessa went into action and after making different phone calls she realized that TMMC did not have the equipment needed for this treatment. After exhausting her resources at TMMC, Vanessa did not stop there. She took the initiative to contact our sister facility LCM to ask about the process of borrowing the necessary equipment. She contacted the house supervisor at LCM and found a way for us to get the equipment. She coordinated with our security team to pick up the equipment and deliver it to the burn unit. Once the equipment arrived, Vanessa used her resources by contacting our former ortho tech and together they were able to apply Buck's traction to the patient. Without Vanessa's creativity, troubleshooting, and determination, the patient would not have received the treatment she needed. Vanessa clearly went above and beyond not only for this patient but for TMMC and what our organization stands for. I feel very proud to have Vanessa on our Ortho team!
