I want to start off by saying that I generally do not give any form of review about a person's work as I expect any working individual to always provide a customer (or in this case a patient) with the best of service. With that being said, I would like to highlight Vanessa for her exceptional interpersonal skills and making our stay here at the hospital one well worth the time and money.
From the very beginning, Vanessa treated us with respect and humility making sure that my wife, who is recovering from a c-section, was well attended to for the entire duration of our stay. My wife ran into quite a few nurses during our stay, but none had the bedside manners, patience, kindness and sincerity like Vanessa. Being a new parent, I had plenty of questions that other nurses seemed to have a different perspective on, however, Vanessa took the time to explain every one of her answers with a scientific explanation.
On a more personal level, my wife and I did not have family members here with us and Vanessa dealt with us on a maternal level that made us feel comfortable going to her with any problem we had. Vanessa took the time to attend to our every need regardless of how big or small the problem was. For example, watching our baby while I assisting my wife taking a shower, teaching us multiple times how to swaddle our baby, and was a tremendous help in guiding my wife in how to properly breastfeed. Since this is our first child, my wife and I were understandably overwhelmed with the amount of information necessary to make sure that our child is properly cared for, however, Vanessa did her all to give us proper and viable information.
Vanessa was the one defining factor that this hospital had that made our experience here something to remember. It can be very difficult in writing to express all the ways in which she went well beyond the scope of her duties as a nurse, however, my wife and I are leaving the hospital well prepared and it is all thanks to Vanessa. She is a wonderful person, an asset to the hospital, and most of all, someone who truly cares for her patients.
