When my daughter came to the Pediatric Unit she was very sick. Vicki was her first nurse, she was very helpful in keeping her calm and explaining to us all the steps involved in her healing process. Vicki was always gentle when administering her IV's and medications. The way she smiled, laughed and cared for my daughter gave me such a warm feeling. I knew my daughter was in good hands. They bonded immediately, both shared stories with one another. After Vicki was gone my daughter was so sad and often asked her other nurses could she come back, no other nurse compared to Ms. Vicki in my daughter's eyes. She came back to visit on her off day and my daughter was so ecstatic! She even helped her fix her IV tape and walked her up and down the unit. If it were up to my daughter, Vicki would have been her personal nurse 24/7. She was sad when she left but it was ok because my daughter has a new friend for life.
Vicki went above and beyond for my child and I am so thankful for her. It made a difference in her recovery.
