Wence brought her out for a walk to the concourse, made her a cup of tea, and sat her on the corridor so he could talk to her while going about his work.
Wence is a very senior staff nurse who we also call “Ninja Nurse”. He is so hardworking and competent in his care. His best skill is working under pressure where he cares for his patients diligently without letting the pressures of a stressful environment get to him. He is much loved by his patients and has also been called “Wendy” where he gets much slagging.

We had a particularly difficult patient who was very confused and disorientated. Wence, after his morning checks brought her out for a walk to the concourse, made her a cup of tea, and sat her on the corridor so he could talk to her while going about his work.

He is also an excellent educator and the student nurses love working with him because he explains his rationale so well while getting them to carry out the tasks themselves. He has an interest in their education. He is also good to his colleagues, will swap a shift, or will give the helping hand when you’re getting stuck with your workload. He is very dedicated to his role and gives his all on every shift. He is a pleasure to work with and very fondly thought of.
