I have had several encounters with this nurse not only in the office but several conversations on the phone. She has always been very kind, patient, and extremely helpful. In speaking to other fellow employees, they had exactly the same impression of her. As a nurse myself I know when you are “busy “and when you are “extremely busy “I so happen to have an appointment on one of these extremely busy days, the lobby was full and I was told the NP was running behind. I was in no hurry because I understand "things happen". When she came to get me she was still pleasant and smiling. Never once did she make me feel rushed through my visit. We even talked about it and laughed because as she put it "There is nothing you can do about why get upset just keep pushing forward".
On my way home I thought to myself “This is exactly how we should make our patients feel, at ease and that its never their fault when things are running behind. Most importantly we still care about THEM and their unique situation". She has demonstrated exactly what one of our goals as nurses should be and that is, to try our hardest to always show kindness and compassion at all times. I feel when a fellow nurse leaves a great impression on you and you feel proud that she is part of our team at KCH then she deserves to be recognized. Thank you for taking great care of our patients at KCH.
