Zebina takes every opportunity to create an environment that fosters care and compassion.
Zebina is an exceptional leader who has demonstrated professionalism and compassionate care as she leads through the challenges of the pandemic this year. Zebina, as sole WKBH Infection Control Practitioner, played a vital role in our organization during the pandemic as she ensures the safety of our staff and patients.
Zebina is a role model as it relates to her passion and extraordinary behavior in her profession. I am always impressed with how she managed this year to keep up with the constantly evolving changes in the CDC and DOH regulations to manage through the COVID-19 and how effectively she communicated and implemented the changes to keep our patients and staff safe.
Zebina takes every opportunity to create an environment that fosters care and compassion as demonstrated in her involvement with the respective nursing units to evaluate and determine the best option to appropriately and safely care for our COVID-19 patients.
Zebina creates an environment that fosters trust and mutual respect as demonstrated in her accessibility and knowledge. Zebina is always ready to assist and creates that trust to be able to freely ask for complex questions as observed this year during difficult decisions with COVID-19.
It is admirable the way that Zebina has gone above and beyond this year to create an environment that fosters continuous professional development. She has maintained herself up-to-date on a daily basis with all CDC and DOH changes to effectively make appropriate recommendations for change in our entity. She effectively communicates changes for implementation quickly as it was imperative this year to safely care for our patients. Always taking the opportunity to share information and encouraging staff to learn new changes and updates in this constantly evolving year.
Zebina maintains a very professional attitude and fosters an environment that fosters ethical behavior as observed in her demeanor leading this year through uncertainty and quick ambiguous decisions. It is commendable how effectively she led our team this year by ensuring she was appropriately following the CDC regulations to be ethical in our protocol changes. She played a vital role in the Exposure Team that actively meet on a daily basis to review and determine patients' and employees' exposure cases for proper actions and follow up.
Zebina is always in the pursuit of improving patient outcomes and quality care. She is a hands-on leader who goes out of her way to motivate staff to achieve better outcomes as demonstrated in her commitment to PLATO rounds and her work with respective nursing teams on specific outcomes such as CAUTI and CLABSI. She is an active team member of our WKBH Journey to Zero Harm team and takes the lead in many of the PDCAs to constantly maintain and/or improve our outcomes. Great results were seen in our WKBH.
I have been closely working with Zebina for the past two years and have admiration and respect for her work as a nurse. She is an exceptional example of someone that promotes and enhances the image of nursing. Zebina is passionate about her profession and goes above and beyond to impact the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, physicians, and extends to the community we serve. She takes every opportunity to actively participate in the Patient Safety Fair, Zero Harm events, Community Hand Hygiene education, Rounding through the hospital for outcomes, and participating in physician educations to mention a few of the many things that Zebina partakes on.
Zebina is truly a role model!
