I awoke at 3:30 in the morning and I could not move from my neck down. I was taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital where I was informed that they were not equipped to handle me. They needed a neurological Hospital with an open bed and St Mary's was the only one.

After being transported to St Mary's, I was put on 7SW for a day or so. They then made the decision to send me two down to PCU due to my medical state. After I had stabilized, they brought me back up to 7SW, where all I can say is their bedside manner is second to none, PCU on 5 their bedside manner is second to none - this entire Hospital has changed my view on being in the hospital. Each nurse, CNA, and doctor have their own little niche of treatment of talking to me. Everybody was upfront and forward with me, it was an absolutely amazing Hospital stay.

While on 7SW I received a lumbar puncture where I was diagnosed with GBS. Every nurse or CNA was in the room every couple of hours to check on me, to do my range of motions, to see if I was in pain, if I needed any medication, or sometimes to just share a few friendly words and bring down my apprehension of what was going on. This entire floor of 7SW needs recognition, these are some of the greatest medical professionals I have ever met. This is a machine, and all points are firing in the correct order, the teamwork here is unbelievable. This is why I believe they need recognition; it is so hard to find somewhere that has teamwork like this and when talking to them, they genuinely care about you and that doesn't come around easy nowadays. Everybody here went above and beyond, and for that, you have made a memory in my life I will remember you all.
