My whole life changed the day Forbes Hospital saved my life. After the pulmonary emboli and pneumonia, which should have killed me, I met Abbee in CTICU. She is a true angel and stands out above and beyond all the other excellent nurses I met at Forbes.
Abbee not only provided the basic care I needed, but she also anticipated everything! She gave me information and patiently motivated me to eat, take the breathing treatments, and get up and walk, and take the time to just listen to me. One incident stands out when I just felt beaten down, (no sleep, too many lab sticks/alarms, doctors) Abbee held my hand and I knew she cared! You cannot teach someone this level of compassion. She never made me feel like I was bothering her, and this is day 8 of my admission, Abbee just stands out. Your hospital is blessed to have an employee so dedicated and committed to her patients. She truly helped me through the worst experience of my whole life!
