Mr. Abdullah Al Shahrani is a good role model as a leader in the department, an excellent leader, and highly respected by all team members.He always makes time for his staff and clients, motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for their patients. Where can you find a leader who is hands on to his patients, doing procedures that usually staff nurses should do. To the extent of doing personal care for his patients, like bathing and washing them. He is there directly assisting his patients' activities of daily living. And there is never a complaint that he raised in doing all these.
His staff is very lucky to have him as their HN because he is very just and fair to everyone regardless of their nationality. He is very flexible and adjusts to the needs of his staff. Because of this, he creates an environment of trust, compassion, mutual respect, continued professional development and ethical behavior is modeled and supported. He is an excellent Saudi head nurse in King Saud Medical City. He is polite to all whether they are his superiors or subordinates. He meets all requirements on time like the monthly report and Unit CNE activities that are done monthly and other requirements needed by the staff for the renewal.

I would like to recognize Mr. Abdullah Sharani, Head Nurse of 200H because of his commitment, dedication and extraordinary professional behavior. I see in him the qualities needed for a nurse, he is very noble, understanding, responsible, sympathetic and emphatic. I have never seen an HN like this because he is always with the patients. If there is anything between the staff and the watcher or the staff and the patient, Mr. Abdullah makes sure to settle this matter peacefully. He has a way of settling matters with them without going causing arguments. He listens to all sides in order to settle the issues fairly. If the staff asked him about anything, like duty schedule concerns, he will stretch his ability to accommodate the request. He is an excellent Saudi Head Nurse at KSMC in my experience.
He masters good communication skills that whatever we convey in education he relays these to his staff without delay. He motivates the staff to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for the patients, He encourages the staff to attend courses and other educational activities by supporting them with their schedule. Mr. Abdullah Al Shahrani is a hard worker and a very approachable heard nurse. I remember one time, one lady approached him and ask for help/consultation because she didn't know anybody in the hospital. Even though he didn't know her, he tried his best to look for a doctor who can help her.

Mr. Abdullah Shahrani as a colleague, I've known him as a nice person always ready to help other units in times of emergency. He always helps me by lending equipment/machines or supply which is not available in my unit. I appreciate his smiles, even in a disaster situation.

I knew Mr. Abdullah Ali Shahrani for years in 200H. He always proves himself in his position. Improving his performance and knowledge. Excellent in relation to staff, patients and relatives. Cares a lot for his patients, never feels upset and he is a hard worker.

Abdullah Al Shahrani is a respected HN in 200H. As a leader, he motivates staff especially the new staff and the trainees. He always has time for them- showing and explaining regarding the ward routines and also procedures foreign to them. He makes sure that they know and understand.
Also, he is compassionate with all the patients. Every day he is making rounds seeing to it that they are comfortable and trying his best to explain things to patients and relatives.

I've had the pleasure of working alongside Abdullah during his employment here in KSMV and I can honestly say that he is a valued team member and key team member and a key team player. In this role, Abdullah continuously shows his colleagues and superiors what it means to feel supported. Whether it be staying late to help other nurses finish their work or managing high patient flow and staff shortages, he is the person you want at your side when times become challenging. He has been valuable in his role and works tirelessly to ensure that the workflow in the unit is manageable. Abdullah does whatever it takes to best support his colleagues and the patient. He regularly goes home late every day just to make sure that the remaining staff is secured and all patients are safe. Abdullah's commitment to his work is worthy of recognition. In addition, I never heard any complaints from him. Abdullah understands the value of teamwork and centered practice. He is a strong backbone of 200H. His leadership, knowledge commitment and dedication have shaped and impacted some nurses of his nationality, patients and the unit as a whole. I also noticed his high compliance with time as he comes very early and doesn't leave until he finishes the duty hours. He is very sincere and dedicated.
