Yesterday, I brought my son, B, to the ED for evaluation. He was extremely sick over the weekend and received IV fluids and additional medications. The ED was extremely busy and handled it very professionally. From the time of registration to discharge, our care was exceptional. Our care team involved a triage nurse, Abigail, an RN, an NP, and an MD. We were placed in the hallway on a cart due to the rooms being full. All staff were very attentive and made sure to check on us frequently. B has very high anxiety with needles, but the lab tech, CNA, and Abigail were fantastic at calming his fears. Since we were in the hallway, we were able to hear many discussions regarding patient care and triaging. It was very clear that patient care and safety were their priority at that time, and they truly worked together to make sure patients did not have to wait long for care. I was very impressed by their teamwork and communication, especially during the critical moments with their patients. We received so many updates and explanations regarding his care. B is feeling so much better and is back to being his happy self. I wanted to share our experience and appreciation with you both. Please thank your staff for their exceptional care!
