She drives team development at all levels and with all departments. She takes ownership and accountability for her leadership decisions.
The BAMC Nursing and Staffing Supervisors are delighted to nominate LTC Aimee Mack AN for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. LTC Mack creates a work environment where compassionate, skillful care thrives. LTC Mack sets high standards for herself and her staff. Her ability to communicate as a leader is impeccable. She goes above and beyond for her staff to provide a haven, both physically and emotionally. LTC Mack recognizes that patient care requires a team of nurses, physicians, family members, and support staff. She strives to put individuals together to make a more cohesive patient care team within her section. One example is how she brought her nursing leaders to meet with the nursing and staffing supervisors to foster strong relationships and build the management team. She drives team development at all levels and with all departments. She takes ownership and accountability for her leadership decisions. She mentors her own nursing leaders, which allows them to help their own staff provide the best patient care possible. She values and engages in relationships with people, which promotes meaningful, productive, and respectful relationships. Her daily outlook is always cheerful and resilient. Her poise in high-pressure situations is unmatched. We appreciate her can-do attitude and know she does not pretend situations are not difficult when they are. LTC Mack lives and breathes Army core values and those of the DAISY Leader Award Foundation. She is a truly inspirational Army Nurse. We could provide countless examples of her tireless dedication to our BAMC inpatient mission. Her commitment to her patients, staff, and hospital team greatly benefits Brooke Army Medical Center and the United States Army.
