Aimee was a shining light in a very dark hour for us. We were coping with the trauma of my mother and Aimee went above and beyond in every way.
She was attentive and professional and kind and warm and gave us all such a good feeling of care.
I must share that Aimee did something extraordinary: after being heavily sedated, my mother suddenly awoke in the early morning hours and started to just talk. Some words of wisdom, some rambling thought about my father and their love together, whatever it was just coming out, and Aimee took out a pen and paper and wrote it all down.
She gave us such an enormous gift. I will keep those handwritten words for the rest of my life. We made copies and gave them to the whole family. Those words made us cry and made us smile, and I will never forget to be grateful for her taking the time to do that. She also called me and told me this was happening. I was able to run down to the hospital and sit and hear more of it for myself.
Thank you, Aimee, for all that you did for my mother and for our family. I am teary writing this as I just cannot express how special that was. You deserve to be commended for being a wonderful and professional and thoughtful PCU Nurse. Thank you, Aimee, from the bottom of my heart!
