Aisha's innovations in the healthcare sector are remarkable, and they have made a significant impact on the lives of many mothers and newborns in Ghana.
Aisha Bawa is a dedicated and passionate midwife whose selfless service to humanity has earned her recognition as one of the most outstanding healthcare professionals in Ghana.

With over ten years of experience working with the Ghana Health Service, Aisha has continued to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the promotion of maternal and neonatal health in the country. She is currently pursuing a specialty in neonatal nursing with the Ghana College Of Nurses And Midwives.

Aisha's dedication and commitment to maternal and neonatal health have seen her become a facilitator for Women’s Health to Wealth and PATH organization, where she trains healthcare providers on how to help babies breathe at birth and thrive. She is also passionate about primary healthcare, and she educates pregnant women in less privileged communities on safe pregnancy and early child care during Antenatal Care, social gatherings, and social media platforms. Aisha has a unique approach to offering personalized care to her clients, ensuring that every mother and baby she cares for receives the best possible care.

Her compassion and empathetic approach to her clients and their families have earned her several awards, including the regional best nurse/midwife award in the Ashanti region and the national best nurse/midwife in 2021.

Aisha's innovations in the healthcare sector are remarkable, and they have made a significant impact on the lives of many mothers and newborns in Ghana.
She designed a transport trolley to transfer asphyxiated babies to the NICU while ventilating them, reducing the rate of neonatal mortalities in her facility. Aisha is also the brain behind creating the mother and baby unit in Manhyia District Hospital, soliciting equipment worth GHc50,000 for the NICU of Manhyia District Hospital.

She modified the newborn examination form and redesigned the color-coded Maternal and obstetric early warning chart (MOE) for prompt risk identification.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to maternal and neonatal health, Mrs. Aisha Bawa received The DAISY Award, The Health Heroes Award and was inducted into the Oxygen Health African Hall of Fame. Her selfless service to humanity and compassion for the pregnant mother and child is a testament to her commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Ghana, and she is an inspiration to many.
