Alan is my husband's nurse. He is always polite and very kind. When the vital signs on my husband's monitor changed, Alan would always explain to me what was happening. He reassured me and always took my situation seriously. He treated my husband with dignity and kindness. To me, Alan exemplifies everything this award stands for. He shows compassion in his way of taking time to talk to me. Alan is an amazing nurse and is very deserving of this award.

My father is in critical condition and it has taken a huge toll on my mother and me. Alan goes above and beyond by explaining everything he is doing to my dad. He was always checking on each of us. He talked to dad and treated him with respect. He also answers any and all of the questions we have. Alan also manages to put a smile on our faces despite everything we were going through. Alan takes his time and truly cares for not only his patients but their families too. Alan is the epitome of what I believe a nurse should be. He has restored my faith in healthcare.

Alan went above and beyond making sure M was kept comfortable during his long stay in ICU. M was in a lot of pain and had a lot of complications after his 12-hour surgery and he was not resting well. Alan made sure M stayed as comfortable as possible and was given the best care. Alan also came and checked on M after he was sent upstairs to regular room on the 6th floor to make sure M was still doing well and was getting the best care. With all the experience we have had with nurses we believe Alan is an exceptional, outstanding nurse and deserves this award.

Alan Harris is one of the most compassionate caregivers I have ever met in my entire life. He is the first one in the ICU unit to receive her and for three days he cared for her. He took time with her special needs and displayed genuine emotion and concerns towards my mother and me. We are deeply touched by the loving care she has received by everyone that has cared for her. Trinity Mother Frances is compiled of truly extraordinary professionals. Of all the wonderful staff she has encountered in Neuro ICU, Alan Harris is someone that should truly be recognized for his above and beyond care to his patients. God Bless you Mr. Harris!

Alan is a rock star. In an incredibly difficult time with end of life decisions, Alan was there every step of the way to offer compassion, comfort and highly professional information. Even with all of his other patients, we felt like we were the only ones. I saw him giving the same level of care to all his patients. I have no idea how he does it. My wife and sister are both nurses and were completely blown away by the level of care we received from Alan. He was truly a guardian angel. I can only pray that I have a nurse like Alan at my side when it is my time to leave this earth.
DO NOT grow weary Alan, you are a shining star in this place of sadness. You are a hero! You not only took the time to take care of my loved one, but you took care of my entire family. From getting a wheelchair for one of our visitors to doctoring another cut from a visitor that was bleeding. ROCK ON! You are amazing.
