During this unprecedented time in modern healthcare, everyone has had to jump all in to support each other and their patients. One of our nurses in particular has stood out among the rest. Alexandra prides herself on being a dedicated and caring nurse and it shows during each and every interaction she has with her patients and families.
One coworker wrote about Alexandra: "Alexandra is a leader who always puts her patients first. She is the first to step up and work on the COVID unit and take the challenging assignments. She is a great advocate for her patients. She constantly is there to help out her peers and she always shows her compassion to all. When you read the definition of a nurse, Alexandra's photo should be included. She is the best!"
The wife of a young patient wrote: "Alexandra is an outstanding, compassionate nurse who goes above and beyond for those she is caring for. The first time I ever met her was when caring for my husband and I will never forget how kind she was. My husband is 6'3" and had a large stroke at 31 years old. He was feeling very defeated that day. She took the time to sit with my husband and me and talk with us about his struggles. You can tell she genuinely cared. The next day he started walking with help for the first time! Exceptional care for patients really makes all of the difference. She stood out from all the other nurses in the 27 days my husband has been in hospitals and rehab. Her kindness stood out from everyone else. She truly cares about her patients and does everything she can to make them happy and comfortable. There is a genuine care that you either give or you don't and she goes above that! It would mean the world to me if she got the recognition she truly deserves."
