Alexandra was great. She was beyond pleasant. She was so personable it made me forget we were in a hospital, that's how comfortable she made us. Alex was my daughter's nurse. My daughter was pretty much out of it, but Alex continually came and took care of her meds and made sure when she was up she got to walk and use the bathroom and try to get the ounce of liquid down, but not to push it. She was helpful and considerate and kind and patient, as I had 100 questions.
I know nurses are supposed to possess these qualities and do their job, but with past experiences, I felt she went above and beyond her duties. My daughter was the one that had surgery, but at some point, I had fallen asleep and Alex must have realized I was cold because she brought me a blanket and covered me. (I know this because I am such a lite sleeper and woke up and when I did she apologized for waking me). I was so touched by her kindness and compassion.
