She stopped in to help me with having my nails beautifully painted, which was just above and beyond. This meant the world to me as I finally got to enjoy something beautiful in a place that can be so ugly sometimes.
I have been at St Vincent’s for a whole month. Alex made an amazing impact on my mental & physical health while staying at St Vincent’s. One example of her awesomeness was shown on a sunny day as the blinds were closed as much as possible. I had the sunlight strongly positioned in my face through the blinds & as soon as she noticed, she made a heroic & caring move by covering the sun with a thick blanket & Bobby pins, leaving me shocked with how caring of an act it was. There were so many caring acts, & that was only one.

Another example of her awesomeness was shown every single time I began feeling anxious, scared, or even restless as she magically stepped in at every moment to comfort me & reassure me that everything would be okay. She went so far as to even make sure that when she was not my assigned nurse that I was being properly taken care of by the ones who had me in their care & that meant the world to me because she knew exactly how I preferred to be cared for, so even when other nurses couldn’t read my lips or understand you, Alex she was there to save the day & be my voice!

Among so many things, one of her final caring acts before I was transferred to the next facility that left me amazed, was when she stopped in to help me with having my nails beautifully painted, which was just above and beyond. This meant the world to me as I finally got to enjoy something beautiful in a place that can be so ugly sometimes. There are a lot of things that I can continue to mention, but I’ll leave it at this. Alex goes above & beyond when caring for patients, & she deserves to be recognized for her very hard work while caring for others such as myself! Thank you, Alex.
