I could never express my sincere thankfulness to Ali the night my son had an unexpected surgery! My son had a quite traumatic accident at school that resulted in surgery late one Thursday evening. We were greeted in pre op by Ali and the doctor, and as my son had big crocodile tears in his eyes from fear of surgery, Ali gently calmed his nerves. She was patient and kind and offered small talk as a distraction for him. She lowered his anxiety and mine. She even let him watch Bluey as they wheeled him to the OR. It’s the small things that make a big difference for patients and their families. So thank you, Ali! From one mom to another and one nurse to another, your genuine kindness brought so much comfort to us that evening, and we will forever be thankful that we got to meet you!
