Alicia is a phenomenal nurse. I have always enjoyed working with her when it comes to my care because of her compassion and her exceptional communication skills. Today, she reached out about a situation where she was unable to locate a medication that was delivered while she was out on vacation for my upcoming appointment. She reached out promptly to ensure I understood the problem, let me know of the potential solution and plan, and made sure I felt heard and comfortable asking questions or voicing any concerns. She was proactive in working with my specialty pharmacy so that I would not be without the medication and kept me updated throughout the process. Ultimately, it became a positive outcome for me, not only getting my medication but also helping improve the coordination process for the future. Rather than pushing this problem onto the patient, Alicia took ownership of the situation and went above and beyond to make sure my patient care needs were not compromised. She has never shied away from any challenges that have come up, especially with things like complicated insurance stipulations, and this is just one instance among many where Alicia's dedication and initiative have made a significant difference. I am so happy to have Alicia on my care team!
