Ali was my labor and delivery nurse. I was nervous because when I was admitted, my water had broken, but my body wasn't in labor yet. I was very afraid of a C-section. Ali listened to me, made me feel empowered, talked me through every stage of the pitocin regimen and plan to get my baby out safely with the goal of a vaginal delivery. She helped me into different positions, cared for me thoughtfully, and was incredibly knowledgeable throughout the process, providing me with insights into what every stage meant for my outcome. When my son was born through vaginal delivery after a 12-hour day, my husband looked at her and said, you made this happen! I completely agree that she is the reason for my positive outcome. I will always remember my birth story, and Ali is the hero of it. I felt safe, seen, and confident in my care because of her.
