Alla truly embodies what it means to be a caring and compassionate nurse. Alla is an extraordinary person and nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients. With over 20 years of experience as a nurse, Alla has developed effective interpersonal and interprofessional skills to promote authentic interactions with her patients.

Alla recently took care of an elderly patient on MS4. This patient was being discharged to home with a catheter. He was also being discharged home with just his wife. Alla took the time at the patient's bedside to educate him and his wife prior to discharge. Alla spent a lot of time showing them how to empty and maintain the catheter. The patient was then discharged, a few hours later MS4 received a call from the wife who was in a state of panic. Once again, Alla took the time to review the instructions with the patient's wife. After working a 12-hour shift, Alla took the time to drive to the patient's home so she could review the instructions again with the patient and his wife. Although home health would be at their home the following day, Alla wanted to ensure they felt comfortable.

Nurses are super busy during their shift and spending the majority of their time on their feet. For Alla to work a 12-hour shift and then stop at a patient's home confirms the type of nurse Alla is. Alla deserves this recognition and is an incredible asset to our team.
