Allison is the eastern region wound care nurse. She works at both of our two community hospitals, Newark and Clifton Springs, taking care of inpatient wounds. She works with a smile; she’s always positive, and is always helpful. She’s great with patients, showing compassion at all times and treating patients like family. She is always looking to learn new techniques and she’s always looking to excel.

I have worked with Allison since she was a new floor nurse on 2 South at Newark. Allison consistently goes above and beyond. In terms of wound care, her attention to detail and foresight are unapparelled. I work at multiple hospitals; only a few nurses advocate for their patients like Allison.

Recently, I accepted a very sick and very complicated patient with a new stage 4. Allison immediately evaluated the patient, devised a plan, and coordinated bedside surgical debridement. I have listened to her educating patients and staff regarding proper wound care and I have learned from her expertise.

She is an asset to our health system, patients, and staff. Beyond that, she is perhaps one of the nicest and most sincere individuals.
