Allison is the most compassionate and calming nurse I have ever encountered. I was literally being overcome with fear and anxiety throughout my pregnancy. It was a horrible experience. I had seen multiple midwives and doctors at this facility, and though they all were kind and tried to be helpful- not one did. I truly was miserable. I met Allison when I was about 20 weeks pregnant, and it changed the course of my entire experience. She gave me a voice, was very patient with me and my sometimes irrational fears, and always made me comfortable.

On my very first appointment with her, I came into the room and broke down crying. I was so filled with anxiety. Instead of writing it off as “hormones,” as the other providers seemed to, Allison stopped everything. She talked me through all of my fears and spent nearly an hour reassuring me that “she’s got me, everything will be okay.” I felt empowered, calm, and honestly excited at the prospect of things getting better. And they truly did get better.

I had an amazing pregnancy for the last half, felt like I had someone in my corner, and went on to have a wonderful birth that I was very prepared and informed for. Allison even called me after I gave birth to congratulate me and see how I was doing. I truly cannot thank her enough.
