Alma is always a great team player and always willing to accept responsibility or changes in assignments without complaint. When we recently needed to open a Med-Surg overflow unit, even though she already has patients in 5Center she was willing to do it and take over the role of the charge nurse. She made sure all of the equipment, supplies and computers needed were ready to go. On any given day she will function as the Charge Nurse, primary nurse, unit clerk and nursing attendant. She will even come in on her days off if help is needed. When she is in charge she will always make sure the new grads and new hires are not overwhelmed and get the help and support they need. She is a great team player and no matter how crazy or busy the day is she always has a smile.
