I have been a patient at West L.A. for 12 years. Alma Manuel has demonstrated professional excellence. Alma changes my lines. I have two portacaths; one side is for TPN, and the other side is for electrolytes. She also draws blood from those lines and sends it to the lab. She waits until the results come back and then contacts the doctors for orders. She’s also responsible for administering all G.I. meds, along with Reno meds, citron, and various blood tests from the different clinics. She takes the time to explain how everything is, what type of meds I’m receiving, and how long I’ll be on the medication for that particular session. She is very attentive to what she does for me as well as for all her other patients; she is an asset not only to the patient but also to all of her coworkers in the infusion center. Alma does outstanding work beyond the call of duty and is a tremendous asset to the veterans' hospital.
