Altagrace's advocacy for my dad’s needs ensured that he received the best possible care.
From the moment my father was admitted to 8 South, Altagrace demonstrated a level of care that exceeded my expectations. She was always attentive, ensuring that my father was comfortable and that all his medical needs were met promptly. It reassured me that he was in capable hands. She explained his treatment plans in a way I could understand. She is an exceptional nurse!

We experienced very compassionate caregivers! She took the time to get to know my father during his 16 days in the hospital, learning about his preferences and concerns. Her warm and friendly spirit helped alleviate his anxiety and made him feel valued and respected. Altagrace's advocacy for my dad’s needs ensured that he received the best possible care. I nominate Altagrace for the Daisy Award for exceptional service. I am very grateful for the positive impact on my dad’s health and my experience as his daughter.

When my father was admitted, he was very unresponsive. He could not open his eyes, speak, or move. He was in this state for several days while physicians studied his condition to determine how to treat him. I want to recognize the 8th floor staff who went above and beyond in caring for him, trying to entice him to eat, keep him clean, talk to him, encourage him, and be kind to him. They made me feel comfortable and confident that he was being looked after in his vulnerable condition.
