Alyssa demonstrated exemplary technical skills in her nursing care for my father. Beyond her technical skills, she shined as a sensitive caregiver and true patient advocate when the family was faced with difficult end-of-life decisions. My sister and I received very confusing and at times conflicting information from the hospitalist, neurologist and hospice specialist, but Alyssa helped us sort through it in a professional and sensitive way.
With her support, we were able to carry out my father's dying wishes. Without her, I feel we would have been pushed down a care path that was not in my father's best interest.
