Amanda has an enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nursing that inspires and motivates students. She is continually researching and implementing current evidenced-based teaching strategies and engages students to become collaborators at all levels of teaching. She is genuinely open to students' informed opinions and eager to grow and learn along with the students. Outside of class, Amanda is generous with her time, making herself available to students. Her example of undergraduate education is both inspiring and humbling. Motivated by genuine interest in students and powered by her creativity, she has found ways to educate the whole student, not just cover the relevant material. Amanda is truly deserving of the DAISY Award for her selfless commitment to professional nursing and training tomorrow's nurses with heart.
