Amanda Baez has gone above and beyond by taking on many projects in her time here at MPACU. She has found a patient population with limited resources in our department, created some amazing gifts, and acquired supplies for our pediatric patients. She has taken personal time to research and put together gift bags for our pediatric patients and presents for waking up from anesthesia. She has also been collaborating with Child Life to find additional resources for the children. In addition, Amanda has taken the initiative to create a pediatric cart filled with toys and games for kids, as well as diapers, gowns, formula, and other miscellaneous supplies that can be hard to come by. The children who come through the MPACU have truly enjoyed the little gift bags she has created in her own time. In addition, she has been working to obtain a donation for an iPad for our peds patients to utilize songs or shows as a way of calming distractions for the children. This is just one example of the many projects Amanda has been working on, and the department truly sees the difference.
