Amanda Croswell is an RN in the SICU tonight. She exemplified excellence in her positive demeanor and her personable nature. I was very touched with how she took the time to console and calm her patient before the test. He tried to be a strong man in front of his family, but broke down in our scan room. He was sobbing as the news they received today was negative.

Amanda's skills as a nurse were very apparent, and she displayed real compassion and kindness that could be felt by all of us in the room. I was very touched and impressed and I would want her to be the nurse taking care of my family members. While we scanned the patient, she was busy changing his bed linens and remembering the important details. We get very busy in our duties, and I was able to step back and let her console the patient, where I usually take on that role. I am very happy that Amanda Croswell is a nurse within our organization, and her talents should be recognized because I am sure she goes above and beyond like this everyday.
