Amanda would continually check on me to make sure I was doing as best as possible, which included making sure I was not in any discomfort.
During my hospitalization, I was placed within the med-surg unit and on many days, Amanda was assigned to be my RN. From the beginning of each shift through the end of each shift Amanda would continually check on me to make sure I was doing as best as possible, which included making sure I was not in any discomfort, and that I understood my medical treatment including my prescribed medications. Her attention to detail also covered areas as small as providing a snack or retrieving an extra blanket.
Each time she would dispense medication she took the time to explain what each medication was for. Although the entire nursing staff was professional throughout my stay I believe Amanda’s dedication to helping her patients shined a little brighter. In return that helped to disperse the black cloud that had formed over my medical condition. It is said that in our darkest moments the most light can be found and Amanda’s care, concern, and professionalism were welcomed on a daily basis.
