Our mother was admitted to ICU. She had a UTI which became septic shock. Amanda was her nurse and she is an amazing person and also a great nurse. We knew early on that our mother would not make it through, yet Amanda was a steady comfort to our entire family. Amanda made it her priority to make sure our mother was comfortable, in no pain and when she knew Mom was in pain or uncomfortable, she was quick to fix it.
Amanda showed compassion toward us and our family through the most difficult times of our lives. Amanda was always honest and upfront about our mom's prognosis, which helps us have clarity for the decisions we had to make. We've had many horrible experiences with hospitals and staff, but Amanda made this horrific experience bearable. We as a family would like to recognize Amanda. We had planned on doing something to show our appreciation, and then heard of this award! Amanda, thank you for being you!
