She was a breath of fresh air, treating us all with respect and compassion, which ultimately put our nerves and uneasy feelings at ease.
My family recently received some of the worst news a family could hear, that my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. She had a wedge resection and was admitted to the oncology unit. We received the most amazing care while we were there. However, one shining star stood out: Amanda Keck. There are so many natural feelings that a patient and their family goes through when they are dealing with sickness, and I can honestly say that we never had any of those feelings when Amanda was in the room. She was a breath of fresh air, treating us all with respect and compassion, which ultimately put our nerves and uneasy feelings at ease. She was on top of everything, without us even having to ask; she checked on us very often, and you can tell she genuinely cares deeply, not only for the patient/their family, but her career as an RN. I would say this is the absolute best experience we've ever had, and it sets the bar very high.
