What Amanda did was out of the goodness of her heart and something she did not have to do.
I was admitted to the 4900. During my stay, I was cared for by nurse Amanda. She was very competent and friendly but also went beyond her call of duty. I eat kosher food and drink, which can sometimes be limited in a hospital. Nurse Amanda went to the store and brought me some items of her own accord. She bought it with her own money and refused my (several) offers to repay her. What she did was out of the goodness of her heart and something she did not have to do. This impressed me beyond belief. If all people acted the way she did the world would be a better place. I cannot praise her acts of kindness enough.
