Amanda was the absolute best nurse we've ever had! She made our daughter feel so extremely comfortable before and after her surgery. Beforehand, she did a great job distracting her from what was going on. She joked with her and found her some stickers she would like. She found smelly stickers and asked her to help figure out the smells. She made her laugh and smile.

During surgery, Amanda took time to talk to us as parents and explain how our daughter may be affected by surgery. She answered a lot of questions with patience. Afterward, she was very calm and helpful, as our daughter was very bothered by how the anesthesia was making her feel. She met demands for popsicles, apple juice, Tylenol, and a warm blanket. She checked on us many times and was very patient and encouraging. She went over our discharge thoroughly while we lay in bed, trying to calm our daughter (since it was impossible to read at the time!) I want to recognize and appreciate Amanda for what she does. She is incredible!
