Amber is amazing. Her voice and presence are calming, and we needed that.
My 74-year-old mom has an eye issue and may lose her sight. It is very serious and moving quickly so our stress level is high, and the family is worried. I can’t even imagine all of the emotions my mom is feeling right now. Our only chance was to do three days of steroid IVs. The first night was the in the ER. My mom’s veins are very difficult to find and getting an IV in is very difficult. After a couple of painful attempts, it worked. For day 2, we went to the Infusion Center, where we met Amber. Amber is amazing. Her voice and presence are calming, and we needed that. My mom was nervous about getting another IV, but Amber was very confident she could do it, and in no time, the IV was in! My mom said. “I didn’t even feel it!”
Amber took her time to answer every question (and there were many). She has tremendous patience and knowledge. It was actually a pleasant experience (all things considered). When we asked about a compromised immune system and Covid risk, she provided us info on a new drug call Evusheld which was worth discussing with the Primary Care Doctor. Thought both of our visits to the Infusion Center, Amber far exceeded our expectations. She is a fantastic nurse and very valuable. Thank you Amber!
