A patient dropped some treats off at the ED with the following note attached:
To the Beaumont ER Team, I was a patient in the ER. I just want to say that I have not been in the hospital my whole life, and the Beaumont team treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. I was a person, not just a number. Your team was the persona of professionalism and character, and it is with my deepest gratitude to say how terrific your staff was! You made me feel at ease and that everything was going to be fine.
Amber, the nurse assigned to me, was a jewel! Just an absolute angel. You truly have touched my heart and I will forever be in your debt. I am sure you do not get the accolades you deserve but on behalf of myself, my wife, my 2 daughters, and 3 grandchildren, I want to say thank you and that it's not enough for what you did since I was scared and nervous with my situation that day.
Please enjoy this small token of my appreciation and gratitude. Again, to Amber, you truly are the best.
