Amber made the hospital stay as pleasant as possible with her care and compassion for not only my father but also for those of us who stayed with him. She learned that my father is an avid fisherman and shared the only time she has ever been fishing was at camp as a child. Each time she came in to check in, get him ready for the next test, administer his meds, etc, she continued to encourage him that his flu, UTI, and new found stroke would not keep him from returning home to Mobile, AL to catch his fish and crab. He is on the water literally 6 - 8 hours a day. At 78 coming to the hospital so sick had him wondering if he was "on his last leg." Amber assured him he was doing better day by day. We were blessed that Amber was working while we were at Grandview. Her sweet smile, kind demeanor, and exceptional patient care deserve to be recognized. Even though the bed alarm sounded 3 times each night, she quickly responded to ensure my dad was steady while alone. Thank you, Amber, for superb patient care!
